The modest sparrow is one of the
Mifuko Trust’s symbolic birds alongside
Tumaini. This small and easily overlooked bird reminds us of the little things in everyday life. Proceeds from the sale of the sparrow ornament go directly to Mifuko Trust, which works to improve the quality of life in rural communities in southeastern Kenya. The high-quality ornament is hand-carved from jacaranda wood and hand-painted.
The ornament is designed in Finland and hand-carved in Kenya as part of our WFTO-verified Fair Trade business model. Each hand-carved ornament is signed by its maker.
